- Servings: 4
Ingredients
- (2 lbs) Thighs, Chicken
- (1/3 cup) Raw, Local Honey: Pint
- (2 tbsp) Olive Oil
- (4 cloves) Garlic, minced
- (2 tbsp) Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice
- (1 tsp) Smoked Paprika
- (1/2 tsp) Sea Salt
- (1/4 tsp) Black Pepper
- (for garnish) Fresh Parsley, chopped
Directions
- Prep the chicken: Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
- Sear: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and sear the other side for 3–4 minutes.
- Glaze & finish cooking: Reduce heat to medium-low. Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the chicken, turning each piece to coat. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Serve: Transfer to a platter, drizzle with extra sauce from the pan, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grilled corn, fresh green beans, or a crisp garden salad.
Tip: This recipe is also grill-friendly! Sear chicken on the grill, then brush on the glaze in the last few minutes of cooking.
