Ingredients

Directions

1. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and paprika.

2. Rinse the ribs under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with the spice mixture, making sure to rub it in well.

3. For best flavor, let the ribs rest in the fridge for up to 24 hours, giving them a quick rub every 12 hours. At this stage, they can also be frozen for later use.

4. Place the racks into your crockpot and add BBQ sauce, water, liquid smoke, and optional sliced onion.

5. Cook on high for 5 hours until tender.

6. For a caramelized finish, line a baking sheet with foil and place a baking rack on top. Transfer the ribs to the rack and brush with extra BBQ sauce.

7. Broil for a few minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning. Flip, add more sauce, and broil for another 2-3 minutes.

8. Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
