Ingredients
- (1 lb.) Ground Lamb
- (2 cloves) Garlic, minced
- (1/4 cup) Parsley, fresh & finely chopped
- (2 tbsp) Mint, fresh & finely chopped
- (1/2 small) Onion, grated
- (1 tsp) Ground Cumin
- (1 tsp) Ground Coriander
- (1/2 tsp) Smoked Paprika
- (1/2 tsp) Salt
- (1/4 tsp) Black Pepper
- (1/4 tsp) Cinnamon (optional)
- (1 tbsp) Olive Oil
Directions
For serving (optional):
- Warm pita bread
- Tzatziki or garlic yogurt sauce
- Sliced cucumber and tomatoes
- Fresh herbs
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, garlic, parsley, mint, onion, spices, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the kofta tender.
- Shape the mixture into small oval patties or form around skewers if grilling.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook the kofta for about 4–5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- Serve warm with pita, fresh vegetables, herbs, and a drizzle of tzatziki or yogurt sauce.
