A fresh, flavorful spring twist on burger night. Juicy lamb burgers topped with cool mint yogurt sauce, crisp cucumber, juicy tomato, and tangy feta.
Ingredients
- (1 lb) Ground Lamb
- (1 tsp) Salt
- (1/2 tsp) Black Pepper
- (1 tsp) Garlic Powder
- (1 tsp) Dried Oregano
- (4) Burger Puns or Pita Breads
- (3/4 cup) Plain Greek Yogurt
- (1 tbsp fresh chopped OR 1 tsp dried) Mint
- (1 tbsp) Lemon Juice
- (1 small, minced) Garlic Clove
- (1/2) Cucumber, thinly sliced
- (1-2) Tomatoes, sliced
- (1/2 cup) Crumbled Feta Cheese
- (Thinly Sliced, optional) Red Onion
- (Optional) Lettuce or Greens
Directions
- Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, mint, lemon juice, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Refrigerate until ready to use. - Prepare the burgers:
In a bowl, combine ground lamb, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties. - Cook the burgers:
Grill or cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness. - Toast the buns:
Lightly toast buns or warm pita if desired. - Assemble:
Spread mint yogurt sauce on the bun, add the lamb burger, then top with cucumber, tomato, feta, and any extra toppings. - Serve:
Serve warm with roasted potatoes, fries, or a simple salad.
