  • Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • (2 lbs) Ground Beef
  • (3 strips) Bacon
  • (1 Envelope) Onion Soup Mix
  • (1 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
  • (1 cup) Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • (1 large) Yellow Onion, sliced into thin strips
  • (3 tbsp) Butter
  • (To Taste) Salt and Pepper
  • (4) Brioche Buns
  • (1 1/2 tbsp) Olive Oil

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions, and cook for 4-5 minutes, until tender, translucent, and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper. Stir through, cover the pan and keep warm.
  2. Preheat your grill to 375 degrees F or medium-high heat.
  3. Mince bacon with a sharp knife. It should be the same consistency as the ground beef.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Form mixture into 4 equal-sized hamburger patties. Make a small dent in the center of each patty.
  6. Place the patties on the grill and cook for 6 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature between 160-165 degrees F.
  7. Toward the end of cooking time, brush the cut side of the brioche buns with olive oil.
  8. Place the bunch oiled side down on the grill, and toast them for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove burger patties and buns from the grill, and assemble your burgers.
  10. Top each patty with crumbled blue cheese and caramelized onions.
  11. Store leftover burger patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet on your stove top or in a 325-degree oven for best results.
